Cookie policy
Last updated 12 October 2026. This policy covers the metbooker.com website. It does not cover the booking pages and admin consoles of the businesses that use METBooker; those are covered by the privacy notice.
1. What this policy is about
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Websites can also save information in your browser in other ways, such as local storage. In this policy, "cookies" means all of these.
2. Cookies we use
Some storage is needed for the site to work or to remember a choice you made. It stays in your browser and isn't sent to us, so we don't ask for consent for it:
| Name | Where | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
metbooker:motion | Local storage | Remembers that you turned off moving effects on the site, so they stay off on your next visit | Until you turn the effects back on or clear your browser data |
metbooker:consent | Local storage | Remembers your cookie choice, so we don't ask on every page | 12 months, then we ask again |
3. Analytics cookies, only if you allow them
If you choose Accept analytics, Google Analytics cookies help us see which pages help businesses decide and which don't. Google sets these cookies (such as _ga) and their expiry.
If you allow analytics, Microsoft Clarity also records how pages are used, as heatmaps and session recordings. What you type into the demo request form is hidden from recordings. Microsoft sets Clarity's cookies and their expiry, and withdrawing your choice deletes them.
Until you choose, nothing optional loads at all. We don't use advertising cookies.
4. Changing your choice
Use Cookie settings at the bottom of any page to change or withdraw your choice. We ask again after 12 months.
5. Controlling cookies yourself
You can delete anything a website has saved, and block it from saving more, in your browser's settings. Blocking it on metbooker.com only means the site will not remember a motion setting between visits.
