About METBooker

Built from real automotive work

METBooker is an independent automotive operations platform. Its functionality is shaped by the experience of running and supporting automotive businesses. Its architecture is shaped by decades of work with systems where privacy, availability and recovery matter.

Built around Mobile Eco Tuning experience

METBooker is a fundamental part of how Mobile Eco Tuning runs its day-to-day operation and supports its agent network. The platform has been shaped by years of direct experience across workshop and mobile work, tuning, diagnostics, DPF services and agent support.

The requirements of Mobile Eco Tuning and its agents have helped define what METBooker needs to do in practice, from how work enters the diary to how specialist jobs, mobile capacity and customer hand-offs are managed. That experience continues to guide the product for garages and specialists using it in their own businesses.

Platform, security and resilience

Michael Simpson, Founder

Michael Simpson, Founder

Michael Simpson is the founder of METBooker and leads the platform, security and resilience strategy. His technology career spans nearly three decades, beginning with information systems and communications in the Royal Signals. Since moving into civilian work, his career has been spent working for software vendors across government-facing technical security and intelligence, blue-light and military communications and mobilisation, highly available routing and dispatch, security solution design and enterprise cybersecurity. He has more than 20 years of experience working with mission-critical and sensitive systems.

That experience is directly relevant to an operations platform. A booking system is not only a form and a calendar. It holds customer information, influences where staff go, records money and evidence, and becomes part of how a business gets through its day. Michael applies principles learned in higher-consequence environments: least-privilege access, privacy by design, secure secret handling, redundancy, observability, recoverability and business continuity.

METBooker is therefore designed with a secure-by-default approach. Sensitive information should be available to authorised people who need it, resistant to inappropriate access, exportable by the customer and recoverable when something goes wrong. These are continuing engineering disciplines rather than one-off claims.

How data is looked after

The Security and Resilience page sets out how access is controlled, which personal fields are encrypted, how customers can export their records, and how backup and recovery are designed, including the files that the current scheduled off-site backup does not cover.
